FINE & COUNTRY OPEN IN BURGEONING MBOMBELA

PRESS RELEASE
5 September 2014

Fine & Country have established themselves in the Lowveld by combining worldwide exposure with a solid Lowveld footprint. With the recent opening of the Mbombela offices at Sonpark Boulevard, Nelspruit, Fine & Country Lowveld now covers Mbombela, and Nkomazi, including Marloth Park, Mjejane Game Estate, Hectorspruit, Malalane and Komatipoort.

The new Fine & Country office in Nelspruit is owned by Jan and Chris Engelbrecht joined by Charlotte Snyman. Previously, a dual license was held by Kellaprince, Nelspruit, after which the license was taken up by Mindmatters Realty cc owned by Jan and Chris Engelbrecht.

With the boom in Nelspruit which started in 1994 when there was a population of about 8 000 people compared with 45 000 to 50 000 now and the fact that Nelspruit has acquired capital status and that most or all government departments have already been relocated to Nelspruit, prospects are looking very good for a healthy real estate industry.

Fine & Country Nelspruit focuses on commercial, agricultural and residential property, with Charlotte Snyman focusing on residential and Jan and Chris Engelbrecht taking care of the commercial side of the business. The office specialises in sales at present. However, rental administration may become an option in time.

According to Jan Engelbrecht, most of their agents are familiar with the brand and have worked for the brand. He adds, “Our consultants are not only competent, they could be regarded as among the best in the industry and certainly are top end performers. Our initial challenge is re-establishing the brand and performance, and thereafter we will manage and develop progressive performance based on sales, inclinations and the ever-developing market segments in the rapid growing Mbombela area.

“Fine & Country International Realty is a forerunner when it comes to presenting property properly and we are right on track. With the UK office having won the prestige property award for five years running, we are well-placed to assist our sellers that have property in the upper quartile of the market and we intend twinning more closely with certain offices abroad in the next three years.

“The upper quartile of our market is R150m for commercial and R20m – R30m for residential property. In Nkomazi, we listed commercial property for R340m. These peak figures aren’t uncommon in the Lowveld.

“Although Chris and I have involvement in conveyancers, notaries, attorneys and appraisers in our practice, Esselens Engelbrechts Inc, we do not intrude nor disrupt well-established property consultant-attorney relations, but honour ethics and respect the choice of sellers. Evidently we have a far more developed sense for the dynamics of the total process from listing to transferring, and invest our expertise in Fine & Country Lowveld Kruger South & Mbombela’s warranting seamless services to all buyers and sellers.

Says Linda Erasmus, CEO of Fine & Country International Realty sub-Saharan Africa, “Widespread exposure of property is crucial in today’s market. The mobility of buyers is greater than ever and they could come from anywhere. This is due to worldwide access to information technology and social media. I am very excited to welcome the Mbombela office on board. They face a great challenge in this rapidly growing area which offers such varied investment opportunities.

“Fine & Country is the forerunner when it comes to ‘presenting property properly’ and we pride ourselves on the way buyers can view and read about our properties on the market.”
